Quick Form

In Jacksonville, pests do not take a winter off. Warm, wet months keep roaches, ants and spiders active almost year round. Residential pest control here has to run all year, not just when you see something.

Crown Pest Control has protected Jacksonville homes since 1979. We deliver home pest control on a quarterly plan. That means four scheduled visits a year, with the treated barrier renewed each time. We treat the outside first, so fewer pests ever reach the inside.

If something gets through between visits, we come back at no charge.

Call (904) 743-1132 to check availability on your street.

How the Quarterly Plan Works

Quarterly pest control is a year-round plan with four scheduled visits, roughly 90 days apart. Each visit renews a treated barrier around the outside of your home and handles any activity inside.

A standard visit includes:

  • Treatment of the foundation, door frames, windows and eaves
  • Removal of spider webs and wasp nests within reach
  • Interior treatment of kitchens, bathrooms, garages and entry points where needed

Ninety days is not an arbitrary number. It tracks the working life of most exterior barrier products in Florida heat and rain. It also lands ahead of the next breeding cycle for common local pests.

The Pests Covered on a Residential Plan

Most Jacksonville homes deal with the same short list. American cockroaches, the ones people here call palmetto bugs, come up from mulch beds and storm drains. Ghost ants and Argentine ants trail along slab edges and kitchen counters.

Your plan also covers:

  • Spiders, including wolf spiders and common house spiders
  • Silverfish, earwigs and crickets
  • Millipedes, centipedes and pill bugs
  • Wasps and paper wasp nests within reach of a pole

German cockroaches behave differently and need a targeted clean-out rather than a barrier treatment. Tell us on the phone if you have seen small roaches on the inside of cabinets. Fleas, rodents, mosquitoes and bed bugs are handled as separate services.

How a Jacksonville Sand Lot Changes the Treatment

Sandy soil drains fast and does not hold product the way clay does. Heavy summer storms off the St. Johns River wash treated surfaces clean. Both are reasons a plan built for a Midwest home fails here.

We treat with Jacksonville conditions in mind:

  • Heavier attention to mulch beds, irrigation boxes and A/C pads, where palmetto bugs shelter
  • Eave and soffit work on two-storey homes, where paper wasps build in spring
  • Slab-edge treatment on newer builds, where expansion gaps open a path indoors

Homes near marsh and water — Arlington, San Marco, the Beaches — carry more pressure than homes inland. Your technician adjusts the exterior work rather than running the same route on every property.

What Happens on Your First Visit

The first visit takes longer than the ones that follow. Your technician walks the full perimeter before touching a sprayer.

Here is the order:

  1. Inspection of the outside walls, roofline, garage and any crawl space
  2. Notes on entry points, moisture, mulch depth and tree limbs touching the roof
  3. Exterior barrier treatment around the foundation and openings
  4. Interior treatment where you have seen activity
  5. A plain summary of what we found and what you can fix

Most first visits run 45 to 90 minutes, depending on lot size. You do not need to leave the house. You do not need to empty cabinets unless we tell you in advance.

Free Re-Service Between Visits

Pests do not read the schedule. If activity returns before your next quarterly visit, call us and we come back at no extra cost.

This is the core of how Crown works, and it is why the plan is quarterly rather than one-off. You are not buying a single spray. You are buying four scheduled visits plus every call-back in between.

Ask us to note any problem area on your account. The next technician sees it before they arrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is quarterly pest control worth it in Jacksonville?

Yes, for most Jacksonville homes it costs less than repeated one-off calls. Florida’s warm, humid climate keeps roaches, ants and spiders breeding for most of the year. A single treatment fades; four scheduled visits hold the barrier and include free call-backs when something slips through.

Every three months suits most Florida homes. Barrier products break down faster in heat, rain and direct sun than they do in cooler states. Homes with heavy mulch, dense landscaping or nearby marsh sometimes move to a shorter cycle.

You need to be home for the first visit and for any visit that includes interior work. Exterior-only visits can be done while you are out, as long as we have gate access. We leave a note showing what was treated.

Yes, when it is applied correctly. Most of the work happens outside the home, along the foundation and entry points. Where we treat inside, we use targeted crack and crevice placements rather than broad spraying. Keep pets off treated exterior surfaces until they dry.

Call us and we return at no charge. That call-back is part of the plan, not an extra. Seeing a few pests after the first visit is normal. Product pushes them out of harbourage before it takes full effect.

No. Termite work is a separate specialty and Crown does not currently sell termite treatment. If your inspection turns up something that looks like termite damage, we will say so plainly. Then you can get it looked at.

Cost depends on the size of your home, your lot and which pests you have. Crown quotes over the phone rather than sending someone out to price the job. Call (904) 743-1132 with your square footage and what you have been seeing. We can give you a number on that call.

Yes. Roach control in Jacksonville is built into every quarterly plan. Palmetto bugs and other peridomestic roaches are covered by the standard exterior barrier. German cockroaches need a targeted clean-out instead, which we price separately.
